Good morning Gig Harbor High School. Today is Monday, March 2 and here are your daily announcements:

March 2nd and March 3rd Students who are taking the WIDA State test need to report to the library for 1st through 3rd periods. Please bring your charged chromebooks. Teachers, you have the lists, please be sure to send these students at this time. Thank you!
The library will be closed for testing today and tomorrow morning.
TOLO tickets are now on sale! This dance is a charitable fundraiser and all proceeds will go to support Communities in Schools. You can purchase them through your PowerSchool Account or through the bookkeeper's office. Tickets are $10 for students with an ASB card and $15 for students without an ASB card. Tickets will not be sold on the day of the event, so make sure you get yours today!
Do you want to bring a guest from another school to TOLO? If so, guest passes are available outside the bookkeeper's office and are due back by Tuesday, March 3rd.
Collecting new, gently used and donated sports gear - all gear collected will be going to the Red Barn or Children of the Nations in Silverdale. Tubs will be set up outside the office, one outside Mrs K Floyd's room and the Let Others Play Club members can also collect. Free bag of candy for any one who donates!
Over the weekend, 21 Gig Harbor DECA members traveled to Bellevue to join 6,000 students from around the state for State Competition. Tides had a fantastic showing with 5 members qualifying for National competition in Atlanta, Georgia in late April. Qualifying for Nationals are: Bruin Bear & Jack Learned - in Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making, Maddie Baker & Karin Heikkila - in Hospitality Service Team Decision Making, and Blake Donion - Entrepreneurship Individual. Congratulations to all of our state competitors and good luck at Nationals.
