Good morning Gig Harbor High School! Today is Monday, January 26 and here are your daily announcements:
Tides get excited! Your semester two schedules will be published for your viewing on Wednesday the 28th at 2pm. Schedule correction forms will be available in Schoology. Please note that you must use Open Seats to select available options.
Hey Seniors!! Just a reminder that Grad Ads are due this Saturday. If you have purchased, or plan to purchase, a Grad Ad, please be sure to submit payment through the bookkeeper and complete the Google Form by January 31st. The Google Form is how we collect all content for your ad, so without a completed form, we won't be able to create your ad. QR codes for the form are available on posters around the halls, on the Publications Instagram, and on ParentSquare. If you have any questions, reach out to the Yearbook staff.
Seniors, The deadline to order caps and gowns for 2026 grads is January 31,2026. Don't delay and place your order at www.jostens.com before January 31 to avoid price increases. Ordering information can also be found on our website. Stay tuned for a cap and gown pick up date in April.
Seniors, if you missed the 2026 yard sign order, please go to the GHBoys_Hoops Instagram for the QR code to place an order. Orders due by February 16.
Permission forms for the Olympic College campus tour field trip are due back Monday, February 2nd. Please stop by the Future Readiness Center by the Counseling Office to pick up paperwork. Spots are limited, so make sure you have everything returned on time!
Do you need a little extra help studying for your finals, or just need a quiet place to study? NHS is sponsoring a tutoring session TODAY after school in the library from 2:00 to 4:00. Stop in and get ready for your math test, get help on your English paper, or practice your Spanish before your big test! That's 2:00 to 4:00 today in the library. See you there!
Are you interested in journalism? Do you like photography, writing of any kind, or want to manage social media? Do you want opportunities to improve your skill set and college portfolio? Our school newspaper, the Sound, will offer all of these opportunities to you! We'll show you how to write articles and share your voice with the community. Our club is remote, so you don't have to commit to meetings. Whether you are interested in sports journalism, news, writing reviews, or you just want to try something new out, the newspaper would be happy to have you. Fill out our interest form linked to posters around the school, or just check out the newspaper via our website or app.
Congratulations to Kim Bornt and Kayanna Hafferkamp from our bowling team who qualified for Districts next weekend! Way to go girls!
Our boys C and jv basketball team as well as our girls jv basketball team play Silas tonight in our gyms. Come out and watch boys C team play at 5:15 in the aux gym, girls jv play at 5:15 in the main gym and boys jv play at 7pm in the main gym. Roll Tides!
