Good morning Gig Harbor High School! Today is Monday, January 12 and here are your daily announcements:

Hey Seniors!! Just a reminder that Grad Ads are due this month on January 31st. If you have purchased, or plan to purchase, a Grad Ad, please be sure to submit payment through the bookkeeper and complete the Google Form by January 31st. The Google Form is how we collect all content for your ad, so without a completed form, we won't be able to create your ad. QR codes for the form can be found on posters around the halls, on the Publications Instagram, and on ParentSquare. If you have any questions, reach out to the Yearbook staff.

Seniors & Juniors, would you like to visit the Olympic College campus? The Future Readiness Center is taking students on a tour of the school and an opportunity to learn more about programs offered there. This is especially helpful for students who are already planning on attending OC next year. Permission forms are in the Future Readiness Center, and due back by February 2nd. Spots are limited!

Tomorrow, the Oregon Institute of Technology will be in the Future Readiness Center at noon to talk about the programs they offer, like Sonography, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Construction Management. The visit will be during 5th period, so check in with your teacher first, then head down to the FRC!

Thursday Knowledge Bowl had their 4th match of the season and won with a score of 134 points! This was their 4th match of the year and they remain undefeated. Way to go Knowledge Bowl!

Please congratulate the speech and debate team for winning the overall sweepstakes award at the University of Puget Sound this weekend against teams from three states. The Tides took first place in six events along with numerous other top 5 awards. Autumn Coovert was awarded the Charles Battin award as the top overall competitor at the tournament for winning Lincoln Douglas Debate and placing 2nd and 5th in two other events. Other first place winners included Elise Hill, Ashley Carman, Nate Dietrich, Ella Rodrgiuez, Ellie Dietrich and Isabella Ray.

Our boys basketball teams travel to Everett High School for games at 5:40pm and 7:15pm. Our wrestling team has a home meet against Bellarmine starting at 6pm. Come out and cheer our wrestlers on! Good luck to all our teams participating tonight!
